So you are a certified scuba diver and you want longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals? Then the PADI Enriched Air Diver Nitrox class is for you! There is a reason this is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba certification. In this class we go over the differences between air and nitrox, we analyze tanks and we teach you to plan a dive using a Nitrox mix. Nitrox means a mix of oxygen/nitrogen with 21%-40% of the mix is oxygen and the remainder is nitrogen. Nitrox allows you to stay down longer and conserve energy on your scuba dives.
This is a classroom-only scuba diving course.
Many Florida scuba divers prefer to dive Nitrox, particularly when doing repetitive dives. This is because Nitrox contains a lower percentage of nitrogen in the gas mix compared to air, which therefore means less nitrogen going into your body.
This class is usually done in one classroom session. Prior to the class you will complete a knowledge review, and watch the enriched air video which we will provide for you.
This course costs $200, which covers all fees and extras including course materials and certification card, as well as one-on-one instruction with our local Florida scuba instructors.
Prereqs: Must have PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. Ages 12 and up.
